Getting a driving license in Dubai

In case you are not a citizen of one of the privileged countries such Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States you can convert your existing license to an UAE license.

Otherwise, you need to go to a driving school, go through driving classes with an instructor, attend classroom instructions, do your signal and driving test and finally get your license.

This entire exercise can be painfully slow due to the limited facilities available for training students as well as the endeavour to restrict the flow of drivers hitting the streets of Dubai. Visit here for details.
