Sponsoring your spouse
In
case of expatriates, you are entitled to sponsor your spouse if you earn a
minimum salary of AED 3000 if your accommodation is provided by your employer
and AED 4000 otherwise. The procedure for sponsoring your spouse is rather simple;
first you have to get an entry permit for her arrival followed obtaining the
permanent residence visa.
In
order to obtaining the entry permit, you need your labour contract registered
with department of labour and attested by immigration department, E-gate card
(a card that can issued in lieu of passport), passport, marriage certificate,
copy of spouse’s passport & photograph. All these documents are submitted
to a typist who makes an online payment of visa fees and hands you the
documents that need to submit at the immigration office. In case of an urgent
application the visa is received immediately or you have to wait for a few
days.
On
receipt of entry permit, you can get your spouse to Dubai. Once your spouse
arrives in Dubai you need to get a medical test done and repeat the same
process as above along with the medical test.
